Peru: Conchucos in Panorama

View of Chavin from Sonia and Ernesto's roof. I love when the clouds hang over the tops of the mountains, but unfortunately that always means that rain is on its way.
Election Day at the school in Chavin. Everyone is lined up to vote. It is mandatory that you vote so everyone comes down from the surrounding communities to cast their vote.

The Esquina: This is the street corner where all the buses and cars wait for passengers. Transportation is so much easier than when we lived there. Now you can get a car north (to Huari) or south (to Huaraz) just about anytime you want.

View from above town. Looking left (north) is the town of Chavin and further up the road that you can see heading out of town is San Marcos. Looking right (south) you can see the ruins of Chavin.

The mountains above the town of Chavin.

The Plaza de Armas in Chavin. Honestly a really nice plaza. My family's house is directly behind the fountain.

A view of Chavin from the other hillside and from my family's land.
Parque in Huai.
View of Huari with Cajay in the background off to the left.

View of Huari from on top of Juan and Rosa's house.
